The Perfect Closet by JP&CO

To put it nicely, winter weather is a little more challenging than spring, summer, and fall. Because of this, our outerwear gets bulkier, we wear more accessories, and we go through more clothing. In order to combat the mess that the cold season can often create, I’ve discovered 6 simple tips for keeping things neat and easy.

  1. Stop Sifting through Unused Items: Unload your closets and identify the items that you don’t use in the winter. Pack these items up and put them into storage until spring or summer. This will create a lot more space for winter outerwear in your closets.
  2. Lighten Your Load: Springtime isn’t the only great season for sorting your things and donating unused items. Use you next snow-in as an opportunity to go through your home and gather items for donation. Ask yourself whether the item has been used or worn in the last year—if it hasn’t, then donate it.
  3. Make the Switch: Invest in a rotation of winter entryway rugs that you can rotate ever few weeks to keep your back hall looking fresh while saving your nicer spring and summer rugs from the season’s salt and snow.
  4. Change the Way You Use Your Closet: Use items like bins, baskets, drawers, and scarf hangers to keep the myriad of winter accessories easy to find and organized. Move all of the items you don’t wear during the season into a storage closet or donation pile. Invest in sturdy hangers for winter coats and clear enough space for guests to use your closet when you’re hosting.
  5. Use a Tray in a New Way: Place boot trays next to the doors used most frequently in your home to catch snow and dirt as it melts off shoes and boots.
  6. Plan for the Unexpected: Keep an extra pair of thick gloves and winter boots in your car for unexpected messy jobs such as car scrape-downs, tire checks, and oil fills. Don’t let the unexpected winter car needs result in a ruined pair of driving gloves or work pumps.

Week Three, Term ThreeI do hope you are all warm and enjoying the snow. Are you bored yet? Here's some ideas to fill your time. How about colimetpng some science experiments -what happens if you mix some salt with your snow and place it in the freezer? Compare it to the same amount without salt any difference leave it for a while and observe any changes . maybe you could complete your homework for the week! Basic facts requires attention this is a great time to concentrate on those ones that you just keep getting wrong .I hope to see you Wednesday depending on the weather condition. Keep warm and enjoy the snowCheers Mrs C
