10 Essential Toy-Control Tips

Many of our clients have kids (very adorable) and this plays a large role in the renovation we make to their home. But not even the most amazing design and renovation can necessarily tackle one of parents’ greatest at-home enemies: toy clutter and chaos. In many of the homes we transform, I see the eternal struggle to keep children’s toys, books, clothes, and other items at bay and off of tables, floors, stairs, and everywhere else imaginable (not so adorable!). The good news? I’ve gathered some of the most creative and useful tips for getting a handle on your home’s toy takeover.

10 Toy-Control Tips for Your Home

  1. Keep storage at kid height in order to encourage kids to take toy cleaning and storage into their own hands. If they can’t reach the drawer or bin, you’re doomed to do it all yourself.
  2. Rotate toys every few months in order to cut back on the amount of toys on the floor at any given time. This tactic also keeps the toys more exciting because they’re like new again when they’re removed from storage after hibernation.
  3. Create “toy zones” that limit the reach of play thing clutter in your home.
  4. Make sure storage units are injury-free (no finger pinching folding doors or sticky drawers) and easy in order to avoid discouraging your kids from cleaning up.
  5. Sort toys and part with broken, dangerous, or out-of-use items. (This can apply to clothing as well)
  6. Turn to separate containers in order to isolate the items removed from the shelf. Perhaps your daughter only wants to play with Barbie clothes, not American Girl Dolls, Dress-Up Clothes, and Legos—Make sure she access specific sets without unloading the whole collection.
  7. Label bins and organizers so everyone knows that each set of toys has a place.
  8. Make tidying up and post play cleaning routine. Don’t succumb to the temptation to let post-play cleaning slide until later in the day. Or, consider instituting a “morning pickup time” that occurs daily.
  9. Seek out see-through options such as clear jars for arts and crafts storage. Mason jars work great and they come in all different sizes. This cuts down on guesswork and provides an obvious place where items such as feathers, crayons, buttons, and pencils belong.
  10. Reinvent your idea of wall storage by using a planter such as the one pictured below to make stuffed animals and other items easy to access and put away. This also adds to décor with playful visual impact to the toy room walls.

I think at ten months it is very fraurtsting for them not being able to control what toys/items they can have. They are only able to play with what is given to them. And when they finally get that item they've wanted it gets taken from their hands. It is especially fraurtsting if your child isn't moving around yet. My 17 month old still gets very mad with me when I take toys/items away from her. The best way to take toys away is to find an equally fun toy to replace it while you are taking the other toy away. Even that doesn't work all of the time though.Stacking blocks at ten months is pretty ahead of the game. That requires quite a bit of hand/eye coordination, so that's great! My 17 month old has pretty good coordination but even she gets frustrated with stacking.

I found them to be a great deal. The Lida lida daidaihua makes me less hungry and the fat burn is helping me combat my flab. The instructions that came with it told me that getting my eating in order was necessary for a winning approach. I really took that to heart and have used a lot more discipline when I am eating and the hoodia makes all that easier. I am doing sit ups and taking them every day and so far, My flab is disappearing. I dont own a working scale but i know that things are improving podedsja.

I ll share my knowledge about you. every morning: 2 cups of whole wheat grains cereals (a nourishing cereal) And 1 cup of read milk (many estimates) on the day: drink - no cream or carbs - 2-3 wine beverages of water Lunch: not one - personally I can't eat during the day for reasons unknown, I get bloated, gassy, And uncomfortable. despite I am hungry I avoid food midday. (makes no difference what it is) But I keep yourself hydrated, premature ejaculation pills made me to. That?? good frankly, Drink more water helps discharge toxins in body. And quite result is weight finally reduced, 12lbs throughout the 32days.I was exciting about the outcome podedsja.
